Innovative control panel for SBB toilets: technologically advanced and geared towards the future

After 30 years, SBB was faced with the task of modernizing the WC facilities in its IC coaches. The control panel for light, toilet flushing, water, soap and hand dryers was a central component of this modernization. The panel not only has to withstand extreme stresses from tens of thousands of passengers every day, but also be resistant to vandalism. In addition, operation must be intuitive and accessible for all user groups - including visually impaired people.

Innovative input system for Rollomatic tool grinding machines

Algra developed a high-precision touch panel for Rollomatic that works reliably even under demanding production conditions such as dirty surfaces and operation with gloves.

Challenge: Rollomatic needed a robust and modern operating system for its GrindSmart® tool grinding machines. It had to be easy to operate, aesthetically pleasing and resistant to the harsh production conditions.

Solution: Working closely with Rollomatic, Algra developed a pressure-sensitive touch control based on Agnostic technology. The system was specially adapted to the requirements to ensure smooth control of the machines. The glass front with illuminated buttons and finger guidance ensures precise operation.

Result: The new touch control of the GrindSmart® machines is modern, elegant and highly functional. It offers intuitive, precise operation and withstands even the most demanding conditions.
