ANODISING
Anodising is an electrochemical process which covers the surface of the aluminum with a porous layer of aluminum oxide.
This layer which is between 10 and 22 microns (0.01 – 0022 hundredths of a millimeter) thick, is firmly bonded to the aluminum and is ideally suited to accept color pigments through a process of dyeing or printing.
This surface treatment is carried out in our fully automated anodising facility complete with process monitoring protocols.
Advantages of anodised aluminium
- High resistance to environmental influences
- Consistency against most chemicals, fats and acids
- Optimised hardness, abrasion and corrosion steadiness
- High resistance to mechanical use
- Easy to clean and sanitise
- Metallic character
- High scratch and friciton durability
