In this issue of Insights, we’re pleased to be able to share with you all of the news from the Algra Group over the last nine months, thus keeping you abreast of our joint efforts towards optimising services,products and performance throughout the Algra Group.
Every change is naturally associated with some short-term growing pains, and that can be a trying, and sometimes frustrating, process. With major changes, it can take a while longer before the change has been fully internalised throughout the organisation.
Once again, I have been struck by the impact of SAP, which we have also been using at gravuretec sa since 1 January 2016. The introduction provided challenges not only for planners and purchasers – in short, it affected everyone. An organisation with its accustomed processes and methods is simply turned upside-down until it finds its feet with the new system. Then, however, the potential of the integrated tool used throughout the group can be realised. If we had avoided the admittedly rocky road, we would never have been able to take advantage of the powerful capabilities of the system.
The benefits are beginning to emerge. We sincerely apologise for any difficulties that may have arisen during the transition period.
