GLASS BEAD BLASTING

Glass bead blasting creates matt surfaces that can then be anodised or dyed according to customer requirements. Small glass pearls are propelled against the surface of the machined aluminium parts using pressurised air. In addition to enhancing the visual quality of the material, this process increases residual compressive stress, which in turn boosts the fatigue strength of the workpiece.
